Don't Over-Analyze Your Date

Don’t be a therapist. Just because you’re dating someone and think you know them pretty well, don’t be a therapist. There should be a line of just how much over-analyzing you’re allowed to do in a relationship as well as limiting things that shouldn’t interfere with the two of you. Professional therapists exist for a reason; so don’t try to be one to your partner.

Jealousy in Dating

Never be jealous. Whether it comes to your partner’s friends, family or even co-workers, don’t ever exhibit any jealousy. You had a life before you started dating this person and so did they; you can’t expect them to give up everyone and all their time for you.

Dating Advice: Be Neat and Tidy

Be tidy. Not only should your personal appearance be clean and neat, but your home should be as well. If you’re in the beginning stages of a relationship, you don’t want to bring someone back to your place if it’s filthy and scattered. Either you plan ahead and clean up if you think you may bring your date home or you wait until next time.

Dating Advice: Men and Women, Never Stop Doing This

Never stop courting. Whether you’ve been dating someone for a few weeks, a few months, or a few years, remember that you should never stop courting. It’s romantic and never ceases to prove that you’re still really interested and smitten. It stands for both Men and Women. It only takes a few minutes to send a little note in the mail, or write a short poem and leave it on her/his pillow, maybe send a bouquet of flowers or bake a few cookies.

Some of the Best Dates Are the Ones Where You Do This

Be a kid again. Sometimes the best dates are the ones where you allow yourself to be a kid again. If you’re walking along and see a park with swings, then go for a swing with your date! Be spontaneous and realize you’re never too old to have the fun you had when you were seven.

Dating Advice: Avoid Temptation

Avoid temptation. If your last relationship ended because you cheated, then now’s the time to re-evaluate not only your new relationship, but also yourself. If you have a hard time resisting temptation then don’t put yourself in situations that could lead to you making another mistake.

Facebook Can Ruin Your Relationship If You Don't Do This

Be an adult on Facebook. A study in Britain found that a decent amount of divorces could be attributed to behavior on Facebook. Since the majority of us are on Facebook or other social media, don’t do anything (like flirting with an ex for all to see!) to jeopardize your new relationship. I’ll say it again: be an adult.
