Dating Advice for Pet Lovers

For some daters, potential mates who own pets can be a dealbreaker. While hamsters appear to be the pet least likely to stand in the way of a potential love connection with only 10% of those surveyed choosing to pass on a hamster, dog and cat owners didn't do as well. 28% of daters would not date someone who owns a dog, and 25% wouldn't date a cat owner.

With these percentages being what they are, it might be a good idea to drop somewhere in your first, or second date at the latest, that yes, you do own a pet and yes, he sleeps in your bed every night. It's better to let them know early on in case you happen to find that person in the minority who's not pet crazy.
